SAPACCY Program

Mental Health & Substance Care for Black Youths in GTA

Your mental health and wellness is important. SAPACCY takes into consideration the unique challenges that Black youth and their families and caregivers face when they try to access care.

Our clinical teams work from an Africentric, youth-focused, non- judgmental, anti-oppressive, anti-racist, harm reduction, intersectional, strength- based, and healing-centred lens to support youth of African and/or Caribbean descent working through their mental health and/or substance use concerns.

Healing-centred Support for Black Youths

Our program offers a range of confidential services, including counseling, addictions support, group therapy, and trauma-informed interventions. We’re dedicated to supporting African Canadian and Caribbean youth (aged 14-29) and black families with personalized care, fostering healing and resilience.

About SAPACCY Program

  • All SAPACCY staff at TAIBU Community Health Centre identify as Black;
  • SAPACCY clients at TAIBU Community Health Centre can have telephone or in-person appointments. In person appointments happen in a wheelchair accessible building;
  • We define Africentricity as embracing and empowering people of African descent with dignity, self-determination, and resilience against racism and colonialism.
