Simon Macleod, Emmanuel Mulugeta, Xavier Prosper and Roderick Macleod – are holding their third annual fundraising event for TAIBU CHC by riding their bikes across Toronto on August 20, 2022.

Last year, their journey took them to Lake Simcoe and back, a journey of 200km and raised over $15,000.This year they are aiming to surpass their record. The funds raised went towards supporting initiatives that helped provide additional academic, tutorial and parental support for Black youth and children who have been impacted by COVID-19 and school closures.

The goal this is year is raise another $15,000 in support of programs and initiatives that help Black Mental Health.

The Ride for Black Health Team

Last year, their journey took them to Niagara Falls when they raised just over $10,000. This year they are aiming to surpass their record. The raised funds will go towards supporting initiatives that will provide additional academic, tutorial and parental support for Black youth and children who have been impacted by COVID-19 and school closures.

We know that ensuring a sound educational base for Black children and youth is foundational to elevating, empowering and preparing them for a successful future. We hope to bring awareness to issues surrounding black health and inequitable access to healthcare in Canada.
